William was presented the "2008 University of Memphis Distinguished Alumni Award" on February 29, 2008 at a black-tie dinner in the Grand Ballroom of the Memphis Peabody Hotel.

December 2007

The Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival honored the director and cast of Blade Runner with an Outstanding Artistic Achievement award at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. The award presentation was followed by a screening of the 25th Anniversary "Final Cut" of Blade Runner and a fabulous after party in the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles.
